Whether a person reads a book for enjoyment or for study, prose is always at hand. Prose in itself is a style the writer of the book chose to use to share whatever it is they feel the need to write. But what is it about prose that keeps the reader engaged? What makes prose beautiful? The study of prose involves dissecting what the author’s intentions are with their specific writings. In analyzing three separate authors and their respective pieces, several correlations are revealed.
